Everybody is LITT (Learning Intentionally to Transform) Academy is a nonprofit that provides literacy tutoring to students in grades K-12.

Meet Kayla Miller, Founder

Kayla Miller is an educator whose focus is to restore joy in the classroom. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors in New and Editorial Journalism. She holds a Master's degree from Miami University in Transformative Education and is currently a doctoral candidate at Clemson University.

Marlo Thigpen

Marlo is the vice president of Everybody is L.I.T.T Academy. She has been an educator for over 30 years. She is a member of Top Ladies of Distinction and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Her favorite children’s book is “Swimmy” by Leo Lionni.

Salimah Abdul Hakim

As the founder & CEO of Soleil Kitchen, an acclaimed boutique catering company, and Her Tribe Group, a social enterprise empowering BIPOC women, Salimah is dedicated to redefining hospitality experiences.Beyond her culinary and business endeavors, Salimah finds joy in traveling, cherishing moments with loved ones, all things brunch, and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs. She eagerly shares the knowledge and lessons she has acquired throughout her corporate and entrepreneurial journey. Her favorite children’s book is “Mama, Do You Love Me?” By Barbara M. Joose

Yolanda Pressley

Alisa Baldwin

Yolanda Pressley is a reading enrichment tutor for Everybody is L.I.T.T Academy. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Liberty University pursuing a degree in Community Care Counseling and Traumatology. With over 25 years of experience as a licensed social worker, she implements social emotional learning into her enrichment methods. Her favorite book is “Are You There God it’s Me Margaret” by Judy Blume.
